Wayland Sports is home to 7 children’s sport facilities in the lower mainland. With two locations in Richmond, one in Chilliwack, Maple Ridge, Nanaimo, Surrey & our newest location in Squamish.  Wayland Sports provides sport instruction to over 10 000 children per year!  Our founder, Ying Wang, chose the name “Wayland” because it sounds like “未来  Wei Lai”, which means “future” in Chinese.  At Wayland Sports, we believe that a strong foundation in sport, provides a strong foundation in life - creating a promising future!


  • Minimum Level 2 – Level 3 Preferred
  • Respect in Sport certificate
  • Make Ethical Decisions course and online evaluation
  • Criminal record check is required for 18+

Position Types:  

Competitive:  We are looking for someone who is interested in helping us grow our Pre-Competitive & Competitive Program for the 2018-19 season.  Our competitive program is just up & coming with athletes from JO 3-Aspire.  The position is a part-time hourly position and could begin immediately as a casual employee & move to part-time hours in the summer.   In the fall, there is the opportunity to coach up to 5 or 6 days a week (depending on your availability). 

Interclub:  We are also looking for experienced Recreational coaches to work in our Interclub program.   Our Gymstars program is our advanced recreational program (Interclub) for boys & girls ages 4 & up. The Gymstars Program is a 10 month commitment beginning in September and continuing until the end of June. There are typically 3-4 special events/ meets for this group.   The position is part-time hourly position and would begin in the fall.  There is opportunity to begin in the summer in Recreational/Preschool programs. 

Remuneration:  We offer competitive wages based on knowledge, experience and qualifications.

Contract Term:  July 1st, 2018 – June 30, 2019
