Are you passionate about coaching gymnastics and eager to manage a growing recreational program? Polarettes Gymnastics Club in Whitehorse, YT is a popular non-profit gymnastics club with more than 425 recreational members per session, 53 competitive team members and 100’s of additional school group and community members using the facility through our many programs - We provide recreational classes, parkour classes, trampoline classes, school rentals, cross training programs, facility rentals, birthday parties, drop-in programs, summer camp programs and competitive Women’s Artistic Gymnastics!  

The Recreational Director works under the direction and in collaboration with the Head Coach.

What Polarettes and the Yukon Offer:

·         Starting at $52,000 + benefits, yearly travel bonus, and relocation assistance. Final salary will be determined based upon certification and experience

Basic Overview of Responsibilities

·         Administration, coordination and scheduling of all recreational programs

·         Coach all ages and levels of recreational participants

·         Provide excellent customer service and communication to all customers

·         Manage recreational staff & staff scheduling

·         Assist in the training of recreational staff

Required Qualifications and Traits

·         NCCP Competition 1 or Equivalent

·         Criminal Records Check

·         Making Ethical Decisions

·         Respect in Sport Certification

·         Basic computer skills/knowledge

·         Demonstrate ability to consistently provide excellent customer service

·         Love working with children of all ages

·         Strong understanding of gymnastics skills, child development, and motor pattern development

Note: This position could be modified to include coaching some women’s competitive gymnastics as well if the applicant was interested in having that variety
