Based in Vancouver, Gymnastics BC is a not-for-profit provincial sport organization responsible for the governance, development and promotion of gymnastics in BC. Our dynamic team serves 76 member clubs representing a membership of over 54,000 participants throughout the province. As the association’s WAG Coordinator, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with our team to ensure the development, growth and success of women’s artistic gymnastics in BC. Are you up for the challenge?

Position Title

Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Coordinator Overview

Reporting to the Technical Director and working with all Gymnastics BC staff, the WAG Coordinator is responsible for the direction, management, and implementation of the WAG programs in BC.

Primary Areas of Responsibility

  • Management of the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics program in BC
  • Member and customer inquiries about the WAG program
  • General administrative tasks


  • Coordinate the efforts of the WTC
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, circulate information and follow up on action points
  • Manage all GCG program initiatives, related to the WAG programs
  • Work with WTC to plan the annual budget. Work within the budget
  • Help to plan and implement annual calendar of technical committee events
  • Ensure athlete, coach and official development activities are implemented
  • Coordinate training camps, clinics and physical ability testing
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Sport Science plan
  • Maintain and update the WAG GBC Operations Manual yearly
  • Organize one WAG Program retreat yearly
  • Work to implement a mentoring program and coach education strategy
  • Contribute to the organization of WAG events (BC Championships, BC Games, etc.)
  • In collaboration with the WTC, carry out Team BC selection – criteria, selection, team announcement
  • Contribute information summaries on behalf of the WTC for GBC publications and reports
  • Other related duties as required


Other Details

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a keen attention to detail
  • Must be very organized with exceptional time-management skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must be competent with MS Office applications
  • Knowledge and experience in WAG competitive and high performance program
  • NCCP Level 3 certification is preferred
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • A valid British Columbia Class 5 driver’s license is preferred
  • Occasional travel and non-regular working hours will be necessary
