B.C. Judge Gord Bennett making history at World Championships

B.C. judge Gord Bennett believes men judging Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and vice-versa should not be considered something out of the ordinary. “Eyes are eyes and Gymnastics is Gymnastics,” said Gord, who has been judging Women’s Gymnastics for more than 20 years.

UPDATED: Scott Morgan set to compete at Salamunov Memorial World Cup

B.C.'s Scott Morgan (Flicka) competes this weekend at the Slamunov Memorial World Cup in Slovenia. Morgan competes on floor exercise, rings and vault. He is joined by Mathieu Csukassy and Evan Cruz.

B.C.'s Gord Bennett selected national Profile 1 judge

Following the FIG International WAG judges course in Montreal earlier this month, B.C.'s Gord Bennett was selected as the new Profile 1 judge for Canada. He joins Liz Armitage and Elena Davydova in this select group of judges.

Five FIG men's artistic gymnastics judges in B.C.

The FIG hosted a Continental Judging Course in Montreal this past weekend. Following a series of exams, B.C. now has five FIG judges.

Re-certifying for the next quadrennial are Jeff Sutherland, Todd Sader and John Carroll. Joining them are Michael Hood who is returning to the FIG ranks and Chris Sheremeta who certified for the first time.
