Six B.C. athletes will represent Canada at the upcoming world championships in Odense, Denmark from November 26 to 29. Trevor Stirling (Okanagan) joins Jason Burnett (Toronto), Keegan Soehn (Red Deer) and Kyle Soehn (Red Deer) on the men's trampoline team. Over 255 athletes representing either their provincial team or home club competed in the three-day event. Over 200 gymnasts from 14 clubs across the province competed at the 2015 Trampoline Gymnastics BC Championships in Port Moody May 15-17. Team BC bounces to bronze at Canada Winter Games

On the final night of gymnastics competition at the Canada Winter Games, Team BC won the team trampoline bronze medal.

The team, comprised of Emily Schmidt (Kamloops), Poppy Quinlan (Shasta), Kyle Carragher (Shasta) and Curtis Gerein (Okanagan), scored 68.400 for the bronze.

Trampoline debuts at the 2015 Canada Winter Games

Curtis Gerein (Okanagan) entered the Canada Winter Games history books yesterday as the Games first trampoline athlete to compete. In front of a packed house Gerein and the rest of the athletes wowed the crowd with their high flying routines.

In the last national meet before qualifications begin for the 2015 Pan American Games next year in Toronto, Olympians Rosie MacLennan and Karen Cockburn resumed dominance in Canada, winning gold and silver on individual trampoline at the Canada Cup from July 24-27.

Gymnastics BC athletes won nine medals including five gold. Leading the way was Shasta's Kyle Carragher who won the men's junior DMT title, added silver in Junior trampoline and bronze with Ben Blais (Shasta) in senior synchro.

WAGC: B.C. gymnasts win six medals!

The World Age Group Competitions wound up this weekend in Sofia, Bulgaria with B.C. gymnasts winning six medals.

Tamara O’Brien (TAG) won a gold medal in the girl's 17-18 tumbling event on Saturday.  O’Brien scored 31.3 points to finish first in a tie with Heather Cowell of Great Britain with both competitors awarded a gold medal. Silke Vermeulen of Belgium placed third with 31.0 points.

Another Olympic spot secured for Canada | Canadians compete in apparatus finals

Jason Burnett secured another Olympic spot for Canada today at the 2012 Visa International Gymnastics Competition. With his fourth place finish in in men's trampoline gymnastics qualifying, Canada will now send two women and one man to the 2012 Olympic Games.  Rosie MacLennan took the gold in the women's competition.
