Second day of championships concludes in North Vancouver

The second day of competition at the 2015 Artistic Gymnastics BC Championships wrapped up on Saturday night in North Vancouver.

Brianna Owen (North Peace), Ella Rogers (Delta), Zach Clay (Twisters), Chris Kaji (Richmond), Michael Sibley (Flicka) and Treyson Cerrato (Surrey) GBC championships.

Owen won the JO 9 (1994-2000) title with Duncan Dynamics teammates Micaylla Broadway and Darby McIntyre rounding out the podium. Owen was also second on uneven bars and third on uneven bars.

In the JO 9 (2001-2003) competition, Rogers narrowly defeated her Delta teammate Sophie Anderson and Jenna Mick (Okanagan). She added a gold on uneven bars.

Delta Gymnastics won the JO 9 team title with Omega in second and TAG in third.

Clay won the men's senior title ahead of Robert Watson Twisters) and Aaron Mah (Vancouver Phoenix). He also won gold on five apparatus.

Kaji won the junior title.

In the men's National Open, Sibley captured the gold medal with Dawson Friesen (Twisters) and Tyler Welch (Langley) winning silver and bronze. He also added gold on pommel horse, rings and vault; silver on high bar; bronze on floor and parallel bars.

Cerratto edged Lane Messier (Flicka) in the men's Level 5 competition with Caleb Richmond (Delta) in third. Cerrato also won gold on parallel bars, silver on pommel horse, rings and high bar.
