Strength and conditioning by Heather Ramsbottom, Performance Institute

  • Trampoline Gymnastics
    • The Strength and Conditioning for Trampoline Gymnastics Manual was commissioned as a resource for BC Trampoline and Tumbling coaches to use with their athletes.  The manual gives coaches many of the tools to create a yearly training plan (YTP) as well as warm up, activation and flexibility exercises. A yearly training plan would allow athletes to peak for competition as well as work on the appropriate elements at the correct time in the season.  A key component to the program is injury prevention and the results from functional assessments conducted on Team BC Trampoline athletes were used as the basis of the manual in order to make it specific to B.C. athletes.

  • Artistic Gymnastics
    • The Strength and Conditioning Manual for Gymnastics is a revision of the manual originally created in 2010 by Heather Ramsbottom from Performance Institute for Artistic Gymnastics. This manual incorporates the findings from the Functional Assessments conducted on Gymnastics BC athletes over the past few years in order to create a comprehensive resource for B.C. athletes that is relevant to their daily training.
