Olsen and Rogers Closer to Olympic Dream with Solid Performances at Rio Qualifiers

Shallon Olsen of Omega Gymnastics is one step closer to the 2016 Olympic Games after finishing 4th all-around on day one of the Rio Selection Camp in Gatineau, QC.

Olsen demonstrated her Olympic prowess with a strong performance on vault, where she finished 3rd with a score of 14.967, just behind top contenders Brittany Rogers and Elsabeth "Ellie" Black.

Olsen also excelled on floor, scoring 13.650 to finish 3rd.

With one Olympic Games under her belt, BC-born Brittany Rogers performed with a calm confidence that pushed her to 2nd place all-around.

Rogers finished her uneven bars routine with a perfectly stuck landing that wowed the audience and earned her first place with a score of 14.800.

Rogers was also strong on vault, placing 2nd with a score of 15.067 behind Ellie Black.
