Gymnastics BC is excited to announce that nominations and applications are now open for 2025 GymBC Awards and Scholarships! Each year, we celebrate the incredible athletes, coaches, judges, volunteers, and clubs who make gymnastics in BC so special.

The nomination and application period is open until July 15, 2025.

What’s New in 2025?

The 2025 awards program includes several updates developed by the GymBC Awards Committee to better capture the range of contributions within our community. This year introduces several new awards:

• Coaching Impact Award – Recognizing coaches who create a meaningful impact beyond athlete results (one per discipline - GFA, MAG, WAG, TG)

• True Sport Award – Celebrating individuals or clubs who embody the values of True Sport

• Innovator in GFA Programming – Recognizing creative and inclusive leadership in Gymnastics for All

• Gymnaestrada Team of the Year – Honouring a team that best captures the spirit of Gymnaestrada

• Education Club of the Year – Awarded to the club most engaged in coach and judge development

• Xcel Club of the Year – Presented to the club with the most category wins in the Xcel program at the GymBC Championships

The award structure now clearly distinguishes between nomination-based awards, staff/committee-selected awards, and performance-based awards within the WAG, MAG, and TG programs.

We’re aiming for a record number of nominations this year—if you know someone who’s made a difference, let us know by submitting!

Scholarships: Financial Support for Student-Athletes

GymBC is also offering $1,000 scholarships to support graduating student-athletes pursuing post-secondary education. Please note: meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a scholarship. Due to limited funding, only a select number of recipients will be chosen by the Awards & Scholarships Committee based on the overall strength of their applications.
