Gymnastics BC congratulates all of this year’s award recipients!

2025 Scholarship Recipients

Each year, Gymnastics BC proudly provides financial support to student-athletes pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded based on athletic and academic accomplishments, community involvement, gymnastics backgrounds, reference letters, and personal essays.

This year, three outstanding recipients were recognized:

Brooklyn Stobbe (VIP Gymsports)
Brooklyn has been involved in gymnastics for more than a decade, proudly representing Team BC at both the Western Canadian Championships and Canadian Championships in Trampoline Gymnastics. Alongside her athletic accomplishments, she has been deeply involved in her club and community as a coach and volunteer, supporting younger athletes and school programs. A graduate of Chemainus Secondary School (2023), she is now pursuing a Bachelor of Kinesiology at Vancouver Island University, with aspirations of becoming a physiotherapist or orthopaedic specialist.

Annabelle Price (VIP Gymsports)
Beginning in artistic gymnastics and later excelling in trampoline, Annabelle is a two-time Provincial Athlete of the Year in Trampoline who represented Team BC at the 2024 Western Canada Cup and captured multiple podium finishes at the GymBC Championships. A graduate of Alberni District Secondary School, she was consistently on the Principal’s Roll and named among the top academic graduates. She will attend the University of Alberta to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, with future plans to become a neuropsychologist.

Logan Velisek (Vancouver Phoenix Gymnastics)
Training at Vancouver Phoenix Gymnastics since the age of five, Logan has represented Team BC at the Western Canadian Championships and was honoured with the 2024 Sev Heiberg Award. In addition to his athletic success, Logan is a MAG judge and coach-in-training. Throughout high school, he balanced nearly 30 hours of training each week in gymnastics and ringette, earning MVP and top scorer awards along the way. A graduate of Prince of Wales Secondary (2025), Logan will attend the University of British Columbia to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering.
