GymBC Recognizes Black History Month and the Contributions of Black Communities in Sport.

A safe gymnastics community is one where athletes, parents, and coaches know they can raise concerns and be taken seriously. That’s why GymBC provides transparent, accessible complaint and concern pathways.

Respect is at the heart of safe sport. The Respect in Sport (RiS) program helps coaches, leaders, parents and volunteers learn how to recognize, prevent, and respond to maltreatment in sport.

Accidents can happen even in the safest training environments. Being prepared ensures that when the unexpected occurs, athletes receive immediate care and staff know exactly what to do.

Creating a healthy, safe and welcoming sport environment means creating a culture where everyone feels welcome, included, and supported. Clubs that invest in this culture see stronger communities, happier athletes, and healthier outcomes for all.

Safety goes beyond equipment checks and certifications. It’s also about the relationships and environments we build every day. The “Rule of Two” is one of the most effective ways to protect athletes and coaches while fostering trust with families.
